WorkPal — Personal AI Assistant

WorkPal is a personal AI assistant automatically created for each user on the platform. Unlike Digital Employees, WorkPal belongs to a single user and serves as that user's personal "digital colleague" for daily tasks, knowledge management, and scheduled tasks.

Overview

WorkPal is created automatically on first use, without manual configuration. The entry point is the left sidebar (WorkPal workbench) after login.

Chat

Conversational chat is WorkPal's core capability. In chat, WorkPal can:

  • Answer questions based on your personal knowledge bases (retrieving associated libraries)
  • Execute tasks by calling tools from the toolbox
  • Dispatch the expert team (switch to a specific expert Digital Employee to continue the conversation)
  • Quickly invoke skills, MCP tools, or knowledge bases via slash commands during conversation

The chat interface is identical to Digital Employees, supporting streaming output, regeneration, message editing, forking, and conversation export.

Expert Team

On the Expert Team page in the left sidebar, you can view available expert Digital Employees and start conversations with them directly. The conversation automatically switches to the expert's context and can return to the WorkPal main chat afterward.

Toolbox

On the Toolbox page, you can view and configure tools available to WorkPal (built-in tools, MCP tools, plugins). Tool enabling works the same as Digital Employee Tool Management.

Knowledge Base

On the Knowledge Base page, you can associate personal knowledge bases. WorkPal retrieves content from these bases to answer questions.

Scheduled Tasks

On the Scheduled Tasks page, you can create one-time or recurring scheduled tasks, such as daily reports or reminders. WorkPal executes the task at the scheduled time and notifies results through chat.

Two task modes are supported:

  • One-time task: executes once at a specific time
  • Recurring task: runs periodically per a Cron expression

Long-Term Memory

On the Long-Term Memory page, you can configure WorkPal's personal memory capabilities:

  • Enable long-term memory: WorkPal remembers personal information mentioned in conversations
  • Enable dreaming: WorkPal organizes and consolidates memories during idle time
  • Embedding / Rerank models: select vector models used for memory retrieval

You can also manually add, search, and delete memory entries.

Settings

On the Settings page, you can configure WorkPal's basic information, behavior definition files (AGENTS.md / SOUL.md / IDENTITY.md), and knowledge recall strategy — the same as Digital Employee Settings and Configuration.

The settings page also provides Change Password and Logout actions.
