What is Gendial

Gendial stands for General Dialog Agent—a universal conversational agent platform.

Gendial is an enterprise-oriented AI agent creation platform where you can build two forms of AI applications: Workflow Agents and Digital Employees.

Workflow Agents orchestrate business processes through visual drag-and-drop, from zero-code to high-code, from intelligent customer service to full-process automation tools. As simple as frying an egg.

Digital Employees are the other core form on the Gendial platform. They operate on an Agent Loop mechanism—the LLM autonomously decides the next action in a continuous loop (searching knowledge bases, calling tools, querying memories), rather than executing along a preset node path. Digital Employees possess enterprise-grade features such as long-term memory, autonomous retrieval, skill attachment, and identity impersonation. If a workflow agent is a "program that follows procedures", a Digital Employee is a "digital colleague who remembers you, understands you, and acts on your behalf."

Platform Advantages

Gendial is designed for enterprise users, committed to creating agents that handle real business scenarios. Compared to other agent creation platforms, Gendial offers the following advantages:

1. Zero-Code/High-Code Workflow Creation

Flexible and convenient workflow creation enables end-to-end control of enterprise business processes. The platform provides multiple system node types that satisfy most logic control requirements, significantly reducing prompt engineering effort. Users can also fully customize prompts (blank nodes) and implement their own code logic for complex business requirements.

2. Enterprise-Grade Digital Employees

Gendial's Digital Employees are AI productivity units truly designed for enterprises. They are not just chatbots but virtual colleagues that can think autonomously, proactively search, and remember each user's preferences and constraints. Through the identity impersonation mechanism, Digital Employees strictly inherit the user's permission boundaries, fundamentally eliminating unauthorized access. Through workstation deployment, Digital Employees can run in designated physical or virtual environments, achieving a secure architecture of "cloud decision-making, local execution."

3. Native Multi-Agent Support

On the Gendial platform, you can decompose a single complex enterprise task into multiple agents working collaboratively. Multiple agents can play different roles, dividing work and supervising each other. Standard enterprise process workflows can be built as individual agents and called by multiple other agents, avoiding redundant development.

4. Powerful Knowledge Base System

Gendial includes a powerful and convenient knowledge base system supporting complex RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) strategies tailored to different document content and formats. It supports three types: vector libraries, file libraries, and knowledge graphs, plus advanced retrieval modes like hybrid search. The combination of knowledge graphs with Digital Employees enables multi-hop reasoning—Digital Employees autonomously plan retrieval paths based on entity relationships in the graph, completing complex tasks requiring cross-document comprehensive judgment.

5. Enterprise System Integration

Using API call nodes and code nodes, agents can easily connect to existing enterprise business systems including databases, OA systems, email systems, and more. Agents can retrieve real-time business data to better answer user questions or automatically initiate business processes per user requests, truly integrating AI capabilities with enterprise operations.

6. Enterprise-Grade Access Control

Gendial includes a complete permission management system supporting user groups, role assignment, and departmental permission isolation. Individual workflows, Digital Employees, and knowledge bases can all have fine-grained permission controls (read, write, use) meeting enterprise security requirements. The platform also supports integration with existing enterprise identity systems such as CAS, OAuth2, or Microsoft Azure AAD for seamless login.

7. Omnichannel Access

Created workflows and Digital Employees can be easily published to various platforms via H5 clients—WeChat, WeCom, Feishu, Teams, and more. OpenAI-compatible API calling is also supported for seamless integration with any OpenAI-compatible client or application. The platform includes a built-in agent marketplace where users within the same tenant can easily discover practical agents, with fine-grained authorization controls for published agents.
