Skill Management (Digital Employee)

Digital Employees can attach skill packages to gain domain-specific knowledge and instructions. The skill management page is used to select and manage the skills attached to a digital employee.

Overview

The skill management entry is located under the Skills menu item in the Digital Employee detail page.

Unlike the skill management in Toolbox (which focuses on creating and publishing skills), this page focuses on selecting which skills the current digital employee should use.

Attaching Skills

The page lists all skills that the current user has permission to access. Use the toggle switch on the right of each skill to enable or disable it.

  • Enabled: The digital employee will use the skill's SKILL.md content as context during conversations, gaining the knowledge and instructions defined by the skill
  • Disabled: The digital employee will no longer use the skill

Changes are saved automatically when toggling.

Searching Skills

A search box at the top of the page allows quick filtering by skill name.

Skill Source

Attachable skills come from skills created in the Toolbox that you have been granted access to. Skills must first be created and have access permissions configured on the Skill Management page before they can be attached here.

See Skill Management.

Using Slash Commands in Chat

While chatting with a Digital Employee, typing / in the input box opens a command menu for quick actions:

  • Skills: directly invoke mounted skills
  • MCP tools: directly invoke enabled MCP tools
  • Knowledge bases: directly search the specified knowledge base

After selecting a command, the Digital Employee prioritizes the corresponding capability in the current conversation.
